hi, i'm
Lisa Buccieri
get to know more about me
I grew up on a local dairy farm in Northampton County, PA showing dairy cattle. The dairy industry has always been by passion, so after high school I attended Delaware Valley University to earn a bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science. Just prior to me leaving for college, my family sold all of our dairy cattle. After the realization that there was no farm for me to go home to, I decided to change direction and pursued a career in the pharmaceutical industry. For 22 years, I have worked in pharmaceuticals specifically research and development.
About a year ago, I came up with the idea of cow cuddling. I realized that cows have always been my therapy and stress relief. No matter what happens in a day, the cows are always there and willing to give that unconditional love. Each cow has their own personality. Some absolutely love to be loved and others don’t want to be bothered. But the ones that love to be loved, those are the ones that will turn your bad day into a day that you can get through and will make your heart happy. After losing my job late last year (2023) due to a site closure, Amanda and I decided to pursue this journey together. We want to give people the opportunity to experience just an ounce of what we get to experience on a daily basis and teach people about cows and the agricultural industry. Many people don’t ever get to touch a cow let alone cuddle or brush one.
We are so thankful we are able to offer this experience to you. Follow us on social media and get to know more about the cows and calves. Schedule a visit or meet us at one of our events. We love meeting new faces and making friends! This is an experience you don’t want to miss out on! Hope to see you soon!
I married my husband Joe 3 years after graduating from college.
We have 3 beautiful children together. Our son and first daughter came early on in our marriage and to our surprise with a ten year gap, we were blessed with our second daughter. When my oldest two became old enough to join 4-H, I approached Klein’s about leasing calves for my kids to show. I have always cherished growing up on a farm showing cattle and wanted to give my kids a glimpse of what my life was like growing up. Needless to say, they loved it. We have become very active in the farm life with me milking two mornings a week and my daughter helping to milk on the weekends. We even own a few of our own cows that we show. My youngest doesn’t know life without the farm and cows. She still has a few years until she can start showing, but that doesn’t mean she’s not there helping with the cows and learning about agriculture.
hey there, i'm
Amanda Klein
nice to meet you!
I grew up on a dairy farm about 5 minutes from Klein Farms. I joined 4-H when I was 10 years old. That’s when my dad gave me my first 4-H calf “Violet”. Milking cows became a part of my responsibility on the farm when I was 13 years old. I would milk with my uncle while my dad was out in the field. The cows quickly became a very important part of my life. I started working at Klein Farms as an employee in their store when I was 15. My dad, uncle, and grandfather made the hard decision to sell the cows. Layne offered for me to bring my 4-H cows over to Klein farms so that I could continue my 4-H career.
I began helping feed calves and milking the cows at Klein farms.
I now play a big role on the farm. I register the calves, dehorn, and vaccinate. Milking cows is a big part of my everyday schedule. Every morning and most nights you can find me in the barn at chore time. In between milking I am raising the kids and helping with field work and scheduling birthday parties under our new pavilion.
I’m so excited to be able to give others the opportunity that I get to have every day to be with the cows. When I’m having a stressful day or I’m upset about something, I go to my cows for a hug. They seem to know when I need a good cuddle. We allow people to walk around the farm on the weekends where you can see the cows. But this new business will give people the opportunity to be up close and personal with the cows.
